Konya - City of Whirling Dervishes
Konya welcomed us with beautiful weather and calm atmosphere. This city is perfect to stay for a weekend. We spend there only one day. It's small but really interesting. It has it's own character and it's full of history. Konya was the final home of Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī, whose tomb is in the city. In 1273, his followers in Konya established the Mevlevi Sufi order of Islam and became known as the Whirling Dervishes. I will definitely come back to look for them and experience their amazing religious dance that's known all over the world.
Bilkent - first impression
Bilkent
University is one of the best universities in Turkey. I feel there
like at universities seen in american movies. Campus is really big
and you can find there everything you need. Bilkent University is
like little city with thousands of students, plenty cafeterias and
the highest standards. Student life is easy in here because everybody
are willing to help you and everything is well organised. Whenever
you want you can use free shuttle buses to city center or use free
well equipment gym. In place like this you can enjoy studying.
New beginning
Is it strange feeling to be in between life you lived and will be living soon? 24h travel from poland to turkey is this short period before my life will turn upside down. And I feel numb, last weeks were so intensive that I'm too tired for anything. I don't know when this moment will come when I will realise that my life changed so much maybe for ever. Moving from country and family. I was waiting for this moment for years , to make my dreams come true and it's happening now. This is the biggest change in my life so far. In the same time I'm excited and scared and really really sleepy :) so what's the better idea than drinking coffee in Starbucks near Brandenburger Tor? and let the time flow. It can only be better. New beginning, carta blanca. C'est la vie.
Goodbye Party
It's good feeling to know that you have people in your life that will miss you and think about you from time to time. Friends that you will meet after one year but feel like you didn't see them just for one day. It was pleasure for me to realize that I have people like this in my life and share with them my baking addiction :)
